Product Introduction

Polymer Emulsion Waterproofing Toughening Agent MP-TE1602 is an organic-inorganic nano-composite aqueous dispersion of a styrene-acrylic polymer. It appears as a milky white liquid with an effective solid content of 40-60%. This product is specifically designed as an admixture for enhancing the toughness and impermeability of concrete. When added at varying dosages (1-15%), MP-TE1602 improves the concrete's impermeability and toughness through nano nucleation and polymer film formation. At a typical dosage of 2-8% by weight of cementitious material, it significantly increases concrete's flexural strength, crack resistance, impact resistance, and wear resistance. At 4-10% dosage, it notably enhances the concrete’s impermeability and durability.

As is well-known, ordinary concrete is a heterogeneous, multi-phase, porous, and brittle material. During the hardening process and water loss, pore structures ranging from nanometers to micrometers are formed within the concrete matrix. These pores directly influence the concrete's permeability, shrinkage, and mechanical properties. Additionally, due to concrete’s inherent shrinkage, drying shrinkage, and other volume deformations, tensile stresses develop inside the concrete, leading to the formation of microcracks.

The incorporation of MP-TE1602 can effectively address the shortcomings of ordinary concrete, such as low tensile-to-compression ratio, poor impermeability, and weak corrosion resistance. While maintaining the high compressive strength of the original inorganic materials, the organic polymer improves the bonding strength, deformability, and sealing characteristics of concrete. This results in significant improvements in the concrete's toughness, impermeability, and wear resistance, making it widely applicable in projects like port construction, road and bridge engineering, and hydraulic engineering.
