Product Introduction
Concrete bridges in coastal areas are heavily affected by the harsh marine climate and seawater corrosion, especially the impact of chloride ions in seawater. This leads to varying degrees of corrosion damage, which shortens the service life of the structure. As a result, significant financial investments are required for maintenance, repair, and renovation, causing enormous economic losses to the country. Moreover, this situation leads to traffic disruptions, adverse social impacts, and environmental damage.
Traditionally, concrete is considered a hydrophilic material. It was previously believed that hardened cement concrete is relatively dense and can prevent water penetration. However, this is only effective in the short term. In fact, under the design requirements of a 50-year or even 100-year service life, traditional cement concrete is not impervious to water and has strong permeability.
MP-S70 is a hydrophobic organic emulsion. When added to cement-based materials, it chemically bonds with the material and forms a superhydrophobic surface within the capillary pores of the concrete. This results in a water-beading effect on the concrete surface and cross-section, significantly reducing the water absorption of the concrete, preventing chloride ions from penetrating into the concrete and promoting the corrosion of steel reinforcement, thus greatly improving the durability of the concrete. It offers outstanding technical advantages in marine structures, saline-alkali environments, freeze-thaw environments, and other concrete projects. Additionally, it can be used in rigid waterproof concrete structural systems.
Physical and Chemical Indicators
Appearance: Milky white liquid
Specific Gravity: 0.95 g/ml
pH: 5-7
Viscosity (cP, 25°C): 18
Chloride Ion Content: 0.007%

Product Features
This product can be directly added and mixed with other concrete components. The recommended dosage is generally 0.5-1% of the cementitious material, achieving significant waterproofing or hydrophobic effects.
The product mildly increases the flowability of the concrete without affecting its flow retention.
It has no significant impact on early strength (3 days) and does not affect the later strength of concrete.
Depending on the mix ratio, the water absorption rate after 72 hours can be reduced by approximately 60% compared to untreated concrete.
Depending on the mix ratio, the chloride ion diffusion coefficient can be reduced by more than 50% compared to untreated concrete.
Packaging and Storage
Sealed plastic drum packaging, 200 kg/drum, or ton containers, or packaged according to customer requirements.
The recommended minimum storage temperature is 4°C to avoid freezing and thawing.
The shelf life of this product is one year.
