Product Introduction

FP-908 is a fluorosurfactant used in water film-forming foam (AFFF), also known as light water foam. It is an essential firefighting agent designed to combat Class B (oil-based) fires, such as those occurring in oil depots, chemical plants, airports, and high-speed railways. The key active component in water film-forming foam products (AFFF) is the water-soluble fluorosurfactant, which reduces the surface tension of water from 70 dyn/cm to below 20 dyn/cm. This reduction allows water to spread rapidly across the surface of burning oil, isolating the fire from oxygen and facilitating quick extinguishment.

FP-908 is manufactured using a copolymerization process, and it is free from perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS). It is a classic water film-forming foam additive, known for its low required addition, low surface tension, fast spreading speed, good foaming properties, and strong burn resistance. FP-908 has been widely applied in water film-forming foam (AFFF) firefighting agents.
